Dear Tim: My good friend's birthday is coming up and I want to get them something special, but my budget is limited. What are some unique and budget friendly gift ideas?

Dear GG: Finding the right gift isn't always easy, but it's most important to give something from the heart. You could find a small print or ornament from a local artist or crafter that you know your friend would love. But better yet, make something yourself! From a handmade birdhouse, a painting, scented lotion, cookies, a recipe book or even a heartfelt card, your imagination is the limit! If you're not feeling particularly creative, another great way to show someone you care is to donate in their name to a charity they support. Any amount is enough to make a difference.
