One of our favorite recent movies is Mary Poppins Returns. It is a touching, feel good movie that draws you into a fantastical, musical world. Directed by Rob Marshall, known for Into the Woods and the upcoming live action version of The Little Mermaid. It stars Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins, Lin Manuel Miranda as Jack, and Ben Whitshaw and Emily Mortimer as Mr & Mrs Banks. There are even cameos by Angela Lansbury and original Mary Poppins cast member, Dick van Dyke. A sequel to the classic original, this movie takes place 25 years later when Mary Poppins returns to the Banks family after a tragedy. It is a terrific movie that was nominated for Best Motion Picture at the most recent Golden Globes. We think it deserved to win!
