Beatles Mania

At VSA we offer a Beatles class. In this class they explore the many albums of The Beatles in chronological order which spans from their first album (Let It Be) in 1963 to their last album (Please, Please Me) released in 1970. This class is a favorite among many students at VSA. We interviewed some of the students on what their favorite album or song is:

Kevin's favorite album: Revolver (1966) Joyce's favorite album: Yellow Submarine (1969). Saw Circ du Soleil's "Love" in Las Vegas featuring Beatles songs. Theo's favorite albums: Help (1965) and Magical Mystery Tour (1967)

Isaiah's favorite song: "She Loves You" John's favorite song: "Love Me Do" Celia's favorite song: "Yellow Submarine" Matt's favorite song: "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"

So for those of you that do not know anything about The Beatles, they are a band from Liverpool who started off playing in bars. Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr (Pete Best and Stuart Sutcliffe) are the names of the band members that make up The Beatles. The Beatles were first formed in 1960 and broke up in 1970. Paul and Ringo are the last remaining band members that are still alive. John was assassinated in 1980 by a deranged fan and George died in 2001 of lung cancer. Regardless of the breaking up of The Beatles, their music continues to be heard all around!
