Staff Profile: Ciomara

Ciomara is a visual arts teacher and service coordinator at VSA. Though she's only lived in Albuquerque since the end of July, she says she absolutely loves it. She hails from Santa Ana, California and is the second oldest of nine siblings (four sisters and four brothers)! Her favorite food is dark chocolate with nuts, and her favorite colors are red, green and purple. Her favorite art mediums to work with are charcoal, oil paints on wood and mixed media. She also to sew with vintage fabric. She loves all of her classes at VSA, but her favorite to teach is Recycle and Repurpose, where she really wants her students to think outside of the box and be more mindful about our carbon footprint by recycling and repurposing everyday items in their artwork.
